Cheerleading Outfits

The many styles of cheerleading outfits that are available allow your cheerleading squad to be unique.  There are styles that fit every type of cheerleader in any type of climate.  While choosing your uniform it is important to keep in mind school traditions and colors while also in cooperating style and climate.  No cheerleader wants to perform when they are too hot, or too cold.  Equally no cheerleader wants to show up to a competition wearing outdated uniforms.  Choosing the right outfit for your squad is essential.

Shells are another name for a cheerleading top that does not show your midriff.  These can have sleeves ranging from extremely thin to long enough to reach your wrist.  Shells are ordered custom to match school colors.  It is not uncommon for shells to have the schools initials or mascot printed upon them.  Another option for cheerleading outfits is midriffs.  This is very similar to a shell except for it is short seamed bearing the cheerleaders midriff.  These uniforms are often reserved for older cheerleaders and most commonly used in competition.  Midriffs can also be personalized based off school colors, initials and mascot.

The most common cheerleading outfit will contain a skirt.  Cheerleading skirts can be short or long depending on the need of the performer.  Skorts are also common because they appear the same as a skirt but are actually shorts.  For male cheerleaders there are cheer pants available as well.   In purchasing bottoms to your uniforms it is important to keep in mind the tops you have ordered.  Tops and bottoms must match to make the uniform as appealing as possible.

Bodyliners are a top and bottom duo that provides a uniform for cheerleaders of any age.  These cheerleading outfits include a shell or midriff as well as a skirt or pants.   Ordering your uniform in the form of a bodyliner allows the pattern of the uniform to be continued from one piece of clothing to the next.  It also is usually provided at a lower cost then purchasing top and bottom pieces separately.  Each member of the squad should have the same uniform; this ensures a professional feeling for their competitions and performances.
